Connect wireless router to existing network?
I have a D-Link wireless router with 4 ethernet ports.
I have a cable modem that connects to a switch to which all other computers are connected. I have a laptop with wireless networking. Q1: How and where should I connect the wireless router so that the laptop can connect to the internet as well as be visible on my LAN (assuming I use windows workgroup)? |

Cable modem into the WAN port of the D-link wireless router, all other computers or network hubs into the LAN ports. Your existing "switch" may be a router so either disable its routing function or replace it with a switching hub. |
