Default Veritas 9.1 rotation

I'm trying to update our back up rotation scheme, and I don't see a
ready way to do it.
I'd like to create a full back up of our company data once per month,
and perform incremental / differential backups each day after. Problem
is, each of these back ups needs to be performed on a separate tape.
Can Backup Exec 9.1 perform an incremental or differential back up
without having the tape containing the full back up in the drive? I've
tried it without success.
