Default Connecting to server with RDC - Can I use a wireless printer on laptop to print locally?

I have a laptop computer at home, for which I am looking to buy a printer.

I wish to connect to another computer using Remote Desktop Connection (the
remote computer runs either Windows XP, or XP server).

I wish to be able to print from the laptop, with the output received to my
laptop (either usb or wireless printer) rather than at the remote server.

Can I use a wireless printer from my laptop?

Will I need to install printer drivers on the remote computer? Will this
cause problems if the remote computer is XP server.

Do I need a special printer? or will a standard printer work ok?

I do not have any experience with RDC, but a user in comp.periphs.printers
posted this link a few weeks ago and it may help:

You will probably need to install the drivers on the remote computer, but
you should be able to print wirelessly to a standard printer (that has
wireless comparability of course).
