Here is a extract from the readme.txt on the CD include with the EVGA 6800GT, just curious, why 6800 not
in the supported list ??

Please someone throw me a bone !

thanks

go to www.guru3d.com there you can try other beta drivers, even one whql
that supports the 6800. True no official ones yet, my guess is that the nv40
architecture is a quite new one, and the wish to take time to come up with a
good one that doesnt molest the older cards. Anyway no need to be ****ed of
no drivers at nvidia.com, your cd has for now appropriate drivers, doesn't
it.... DirectX 9.0c is also not out yet, all coming very soon, be glad you
got such a monster card ;-)

6800 series have not release yet. So as the driver for it. If the card is
truly release officially from eVGA, it should have the driver included from
the CD DISC. It look and sound strange.
Since you already have the card, you need to goto -
www.guru3d.com for 61.xx or later to support 6800 card. Any 5x.xx version
will not support it.

The 6800 is a brand new card, you have a lot of trouble even finding stores
with them available, that's why there isn't an abundance of drivers yet.

You also don't HAVE to install a beta driver every week, the fact that beta
drivers are available is a huge bonus compared to ATI.

Check www.guru3d.com - there's plenty of different versions (beta) of
drivers that support the 6800, my card also came with a CD with drivers on
it for the card.

As for performance, it seems great so far, good luck with the driver
search - I'm sure there will be an "official" release very soon.

Did you even bother to try the drivers on the cd that came with the card?
Whether the readme lists them or not, I cant believe any company would
release new hw and not have drivers for it included.
