Antec Truepower 550 EPS -- question

Antec, according to Tom's Hardware Guide, very conservatively rates their
power supplies. They tend to easily put out more than their ratings say.

Yes, I did find some reviews also that prove this
to be correct. Plus the Antec site mentions a test
that looks good and correct.

For the "True550 EPS12V" these reviews probably
are not entirely correct. One should add that this
530 W concerns the sum of the 3,3 + 5 + 12 V
outputs simultanuously.

The formal specifications of this model are

According to these specs the Antec "True550
EPS12V" delivers a total of 530W on the 3,3+5+12 V
rails simultanuously. Very good!
As a whole the PSU delivers 550 W.
Nothing wrong with that also IMO :-)
I find the specs to be complete and trustworthy.

However I'm not sure about the value of 36 A for
the 12 V rail which is very high. My question is:
is this 36 A a typo?

That's for +3,3V +5V and +12V together.

I doubt it's a typo, that's the whole point of an EPS unit, that it has
dedicated rail for more, stable CPU power, enough to support multiple
CPUs. However, it likely lists both 12V rails seperately, yes? I would
expect them to be seperate inside the unit too, such that the unit is not
rated to deliver the entire 36A entirely from one 12V rail or the other
but a combination of the two. I belive they may be seperate by a low
resistance which will keep one rail more stable when load changes on the
other.
