Default Inconsistent Intel Web sites for driver updates

Intel be consistent!!! In the beginning for me, you could get the latest
drivers by going to your development series website. Then you eliminated
that and gave the latest drivers on the specific technology's site (e.g.
chipset driver update vs. the chipset driver update on a specific
motherboard update site). Then, you either didn't update the motherboard
updates (even when an update that applied to that motherboard was on the
technology update site) or more lately you started switching which site you
updated (except that you always had the latest on the technology site vs.
the motherboard sites). Now for the first time, you have updated the chipset
software for various motherboard sites but not on the technology site. Now
for some illogical reason you have changed your websites various URLs only
slightly; only just enough so you can't get there at all. After a lot of
searching , I finally found the correct URLs and rebooked them in my
browser. Now , I haven't the faintest clue about where to go to find the
latest updates. This is plain foolish and totally confusing probably both
for your users and yourself. Obviously, no one is in charge of the updates
on the various Intel sites (or then again many people are in charge who
don't coordinate with each other). As an example, you can go to
http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scri...?ProductID=816
for your chipset updates but the latest is listed as 8.1.1.1010 11/21/2006.
However if you go to
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/scri...4&submit=Go%21
for the 925xcv Motherboard (not the latest and greatest of your motherboards
by any means) site you will find that you have the 8.3.0.1013 3/11/2007
Intel chipset installation software. And the site is not internally
consistent: you have the 5.5.0.1035 11/4/2005 Intel RAID storage manager
listed, yet on the technology side you have the 6.2.1.1002 version available
(the readme says it does apply to the 925xcv chipset). Plus your LAN Marvell
Yukon EC Gigabit Ethernet Software is listed as 8.49.2.3 3/20/2006 (it used
to be continually updated) but it is severely out of date as the current
driver listed on the Marvell website is 8.61.7.3 for Windows XP and Windows
2003 (there are others for Vista). In other words. Intel needs to fire
whoever is in charge of its websites and get somebody who either knows what
they are doing or gives a damn about internal consistency.
