Default How do you get TV on the PC

Hey all,

I've never tried before, but I figure my ISP is cable so how do I get the
cable on the PC?

You should have a breakout box where all the cable services are seperated.
You need to run the cable TV output to Video amp/splitter, with one output
going on to your TV/VCR as normal, and an other routed through to your PC.
you then need to fit a tuner card into the PC, or get one of ATI's "all in
wonder" cards.

My Video card has a module for that (I think), is there a software
requirement?

This show the type of breakout box I was thinking of.

You havn't said if you have a digital or analog service, or if you are using
the cableTV service at the moment. Clearly a TV tuner only works with an
analog service. If you have a digital service the STB required to decode it
may well come with a UHF output, this can be used with a analog tuner, but
only for the channel your watching.
