I have a GA-8IPE1000-G Rev.3.x and the manual says that you need 4 sticks
with the same specs (i.e. "the same memory size and type" - p. 15 Nr. 4)
for dual channel.
So you may start with 2x512 (and try o'c) and add 2x256 later on...

i`ll try the 1GB set then ad the 1/2GB set later, see how i go..


I can confirm (if its anything like my Gigabyte s939) that it wont run with
3 dimms.
