Default TwinView with different resolutions

Hi,

I want to configure TwinView on my Dell Inspiron 8200
(nvidia-{kernel,glx}-1.0.6629 on Gentoo GNU/Linux). The Laptop has a
resolution of 1400x1050. As second monitor I want to use a beamer (for
presentations) with a resolution of 1024x768.

How do I have to modify my xorg.conf in order to let both connected
monitors show the same picture, but in different resolutions?

This is what I tested so far:

,----[ /etc/X11/xorg.conf ]----
| Section "Device"
| Identifier "GeForce"
| VendorName "NVidia"
| Driver "nvidia"
| Option "DPMS"
| Option "RenderAccel" "on"
| Option "HWCursor" "on"
| Option "CursorShadow" "on"
| Option "CursorShadowAlpha" "32"
| Option "CursorShadowXOffset" "5"
| Option "CursorShadowYOffset" "5"
| Option "NvAGP" "1"
| Option "NoLogo" "on"
| Option "TwinView" "on"
| Option "TwinViewOrientation" "Clone"
| Option "MetaModes" "1024x768, 1400x1050;"
| Option "ConnectedMonitor" "CRT,DFP"
| EndSection
`----

It doesn't work the way I want, because the beamer shows only a 1024x768
pixel big part of the screen, which is 1400x1050.

The only working solution I found till now is to reduce the notebook
resolution to 1024x768. But then the fonts on the notebook's display
become unreadable. So there has to be another solution.

Any ideas?
