Default Gigabyte GA-7VAXPand Windows XP

Hi,

I bought a computer in november last year. All worked fine under
Windows2000. Then, i installed Windows XP, because Windows2000 didn't
recognized the onBoard-RAID-Controller correctly.

But now i have another problem: at my secondary IDE-Channel i connected two
devices: a Toshiba SD-M1612 DVD-ROM and a AOpen CRW4850 CDRW drive.
If i try to start a program from the CD, Windows pops up an errormessage,
telling me, he didn't found a procedure-entry (i don't know, how the english
windows reports this error, but in german, it says "Prozedureinsprungpunkt
nicht gefunden".
Then it lists a procedure-name, with changed names
i.e.
"InterLockedDLL" becomes "InterHockedDLL".
The name differs between the programs, i try to start.

I tried to Install the VIA-Hyperion-Drivers, turn off the RAID-Controller,
connect just one drive to the IDE-Channel and changed the master-slave order
of the drives ... nothing helped.

Is there anybody having the same problem?
Could it be, that the mainboard is defect? But then, it also would'nt run
under Windows2000.

Please help!
Thank you!
