Why did you remove the CPU heatsink fan? Seems like it might be a little
insurance if the case fan went out.

I went for a quiet pc. With that cpu fan down in there, the duct became its
megaphone. It was just a 70mm thin fan, so it had to rev up a bit to work
ok.

Of course the quieter case fan is echoing out the inner end of the duct. But
I have my inner walls lined with some sound absorbing foam, so I'm not sure
how loud it is.
