If you ever used Adobe Gamma it is probably still loading when you start your
computer.
Look in the startup folder if it is still loading it will be in there.
It won't change anything with a monitor unless it is loading.
Monitors just like TV's can also lose brightness as they get older. They say
you should never set a TV or monitor to high brightness because it will make
the brightness age quicker.
