There could be a problem with the memory. Try running Memtest86 for
a hour or so from a bootable floppy or CD. http://www.memtest86.com/

Tried Memtest86 for 2 hours - no problems.
Also tried the speed test on the HD - 38MB/sec burst and 18MB/Ssec sustained.
Hope it's not the motherboard!
