Upgrading the CPU or RAM won't affect your installation of XP. You need to
check what motherboard you have, so you can find out what it will take. I
expect you'll need a new fan that is suitable for the higher-rated CPU, and
you may need to update the BIOS. The motherboard manufacturer's website
will tell you all of these details.

You can use any AGP8x card, and you won't see any noticeable difference from
only having an AGP4x slot. However, not having the ability to do a
re-installation of XP could cause you problems. You might be able to get
away with not having to do a re-installation, but only if Driver Cleaner
doesn't cause any problems.

It's best to speak to TIME and tell them what you're planning to do. They
may supply you with CDs so you can re-install XP without all the old drivers
on the system, but most of their installations do already have the original
drivers on the back-up disk image.
