If you have around $165 to spend for a processor, then go for
an Athlon XP2800+ 333 instead. An Athlon XP3000+ 400
at only around $260 is a good deal.

jumping from P4 2.0 to P4 2.4 800. But then it's $46 to

2.8Ghz, and $130 to jump from 2.8Ghz to 3.0Ghz. I'm more
willing to buy the 3.0Ghz at about $150;-)
