hi there
a friend recently had the msblast virus and then removed it following the
steps that were listed on the norton site.
now, whenever she goes onto the internet, it works for about a minute (i.e.
browse to two or three sites) and then just gets constant 'page not found'
errors.
The system is windows xp, and i have tried everything ....
uninstall/reinstall modem, try a different ISP.... re-do msblast fix, ran
windows update....... but the problem remains. there is no firewall active
(winxp or zonealarm etc.). i have checked task manager and nothing suspect
seems to be running...
i am now thinking i need to reformat and reinstall, which i clearly want to
avoid if possible....
does anybody know how i can fix this problem?
