is it the same on RedHat LINUX 9.0? i can't say that my
performance is really better than before. i can't
even play "Tux-Racer"!

If you uninstalled the XFree86-Mesa-libGL package before installing the
nVidia drivers, reinstall it. Tux Racer and Chromium do not like one of
the nVidia OpenGL lib substitutes. The only downside I've found so far
is that some of the GLX screen savers often don't work.
