Please help... I am in need of assistance to install XP after formatting

From Lubuntu:
sudo apt install disktype
disktype /dev/sda | tee out.txt
Then present the contents of "out.txt" text
strings, in your posting to microsoft.public.windowsxp.general
for suggestions.
What that does, is scan the disk for information,
and tell us what partitions you might or might not
have created.

MS Windows sometimes has a very hard time dealing

think is a likely cause of whatever problem he
was having with attempting to install XP.
