I would have thought that sending data without interrupts
would require 100% of CPU time and that all other
processes would stop. This does not seem to be the case
for my Windows XP SP-2 computer hooked up to my 722C
printer through the parallel port because I can run other
programs during the printing process. They may run
slower but they run just fine. Certainly nothing that would
require me to buy a new printer.
