It would be nice to know just how low your budget is. You can pick up a
FX5200 128 meg card for $54.00 on http://www.pricewatch.com or for about the
same price a Radeon 9200 128 meg card. It's nice to know if you only have
about 50 bucks you can still buy a fairly good video card these days.

Budget about £70 or $100 ish.

Is the FX5200 really any better?

Even the post above this one says the FX5200 is ****. But would it be
an improvement on the GF2? Cos tomorrow I am definetly gonna have to
get an upgrade.

Yes, the 5200 is easily a good improvement over the mx200 - which is a
HORRIBLE card, its more like a TNT-1 card. Not worth playing games
on.

Make sure the Fx5200 is 128bit type memory.

Plan on upgrading your CPU/RAM/Mobo... because Any moden video card is
going to be waiting for your CPU to catch up.

Get something like a KT400 mobo (budget) or Nvidia NForce2 Chipset, an
AMD2500+ CPU and 512mb RAM = $250USD.
