I have just built the system and everything loads up ok, the computer goes
into POST and then afterwards displays

NTDLR missing press alt control delete to restart.


now the CD drive i have installed is a sony cd-rw/dvd combo drive.

i have set it as primary boot device before the hdd and the floppy disk..
its been a little bugger and when it goes to "borring from ATAPI cd-rom:" it
fails when the windows XP Pro disk is in the drive it just goes back to
NTDLR is missing press alt control delete etc.

it is been a bit fussy too about opening.. sometimes i press the button and
it opens
then when i press it again to close it doesnt.. sometimes when i press it
then it doesnt open.. think it's the drive being a bit pap?

or does anyone know a way around this?

Im not happy with it really.. even if i boot windows XP from a floppy... why
didnt it boot from the CD-ROM?
