As far as maximum sustained read speeds are concerned they will be about
equal since the PCI system and rotational speeds and areal densities and
seek times all tend to limit the maximum speed.

I have read reports/reviews that claim that the larger cache has some
advantage in specific applications like 3D Rendering.
