An 8600GT is not good enough for Assasin's Creed and World of Conflict
IME. Even at 1024x768. Crysis looks and runs well enough on medium, but
those two games looks like DX7 titles by the time I get playable
framerates on my 8600GT.

I'm aware of that. You missed the point.
