I doubt you could even get it to work at USB1.1 Would probably not
burn at all. Likely would not play back either. As an example, I have
an external USB CDRW that will do both USB1.1 and USB 2.0. On USB 1.1
max burn speed is 4x. On USB2.0, it is 48x (max the drive will do)

Get an internal drive. Better performance. Lower price
