P5Q-SE2: SATA II? by
(PeteCresswell)
I'm using the P5Q-SE2 for my Windows Home Server box.
Got a half-dozen of Western Digital's Caviar Green drives in it.
While trying to track down a flaky drive, it's dawned on me that
SATA II is a lot faster than plain old Serial ATA - as in twice
as fast.
Being basically clueless, but looking...

Latitude 6510 can't be updated from NVidia.con by
Hank Arnold
We just got 3 Latitude 6510's at the Hospice I support. I wiped one out
and started installing the necessary drivers. I've said many times on
the net and my blog that one should always download drivers from
hardware manufacturer rather than from Dell or Microsoft.
I went to the NVidia web site...

Windows dynamic disks by
Tom Del Rosso[_3_]
I'm setting up a SATA RAID 5 array in an XP system (not the boot volume) and
would like to expand it later. What's do you think of dynamic disks? I
googled for their disadvantages, and there doesn't seem to be a serious
drawback, but it's sort of a one-way street.

Antec Basiq 500 Watt ATX Power Supply/PSU (BP500U) making loud noises? by
Ant[_3_]
Hello.
A technician installed a new Antec Basiq 500 Watt ATX Power Supply/PSU
(BP500U) on 1/23/2010 into my old PC to replace a dead previous, old PSU
since I am not a computer hardware person.
Lately, its PSU fan has been making loud noises. I have to hit/tap the
PSU fan area to make it stop....

Any really good, reliable, easy to use disk imaging programs for Win 7/64bit? by
Smarty
I have been using Acronis True Image 2010 and most of the earlier
versions for many years, and am finding the latest version to be buggy
and the user interface to be cluttered.
Is there any really good, very reliable disk imaging and recovery
program out there to take the place of Acronis?
In the...

MP3BR Imager by
Hoot Gibson
The discussions on this software are several years old, but I recently
found it. I used it for the trial period and like what it does. I
have found nothing else that allows me to put the songs in the order I
want. I was going to purchase a registration for MP3BR Imager but can
not find the...

I don't know why these major brands are being killed like this.
ATI has incredible marketing value. It takes years and lots of $$$ to
build...

How the mighty have fallen by
Phil Weldon[_5_]
Sad to see how few posts a.c.h.o gets these days. I certainly haven't
done my part lately. I haven't even set up my desktop since I moved
18 months ago - and a fairly decent lthree-year-old laptop (T7300/3 GB/
500 GB/nVidia 8600M GT/1680 x 1050) isn't a lot of overclocking fun
(maybe 20% for the...
