question about card performance

my gf just bought an 8600gt (bfg) for 100 bucks. i have two questions so i
can get an idea of how this card performs.


how does this compare to an old 9700pro?

how does this compare to a 1950pro?

Problem installing catalyst driver in Vista

I'm trying to install catalyst drivers for Vista x64, but near the end of
the installation, it says it cannot find an ini file, and the drivers are
not installed fully. I'd give the exact error but...

30fps Unreal Tournament 3 on PS3 probably delayed until '08 due to programming issues - Xbox 360 version is likely in early '08

only 30 fps??? but i thought people were saying the ps3 version was going to
be lossless compared to the pc version?? 30 fps compared to what i'll be
able to run on my pc is definitely NOT lossless...
