If you really want to speed it up run with 3GB of main ram and add a 2nd
hard drive as the temp drive and page file drive

Bootable CD-ROM
why not just flash using the bios flash utility? Last menu across the top of
the screen. All you need is a USB memory drive. Or is it a really old MB?

problem with Asus Commando with 4 gigs of ram.
32 bit systems can only address 4GB max. Video cards, i/o ports, drivers,
etc all are mapped into the 3 to 4 GB range. The bios setting to remap
allows 64 bit systems to use the 3 to 4 GB memory...

just fine. You can put the one you bought in any of the unused slots (which
ever one is most convienent) and you might...

are you sure you have the 20pin AND the 4 pin power connectors plugged in
and at least a 400W supply?

Antec Sonata case + GeForce 8800GTX
just be aware that that antec supply has only 1 power connector for the
video card and is a 450 watt supply so it might need to be replaced with a
higher amp on the 12V rails to handle that video...
