Dual Core 2.10GHz: What is actual clock speed for each core?

I have an amd athlon 64 x2 dual core 4000+ 2.10GHz processor. Does
that mean each core runs at 2.10GHz? Or is 2.10GHz split between the
two cores (i.e., resulting in maximum clock speed of 1.05GHz...
