ASUS P2L97 motherboard boot-up problem

PCI card for video to rule out AGP problem. reset cmos...maybe a weird

Do you suggest I use the PCI dispaly card instead of AGP one ? But my
AGP card had been tested function normal in another P2L97 PC.

About resetting CMOS, I found one procedure in Chapter III
INSTALLATION Jumper Settings 1. Real Time Clock (RTC) RAM (CLRTC)
(P.13). However, that 2 power points are very small (just needle head
size). Can I short the 2 power points effectively by using screw
drivers only ?

Video setting in bios is freezing machine.

BTW I read where this could have happened after a bios flash....reset

Do you mean BIOS flash may cause the problem ? What can cause I BIOS
flash (just asking for precaution to avoid the same mistake) ?
