NView Taskswitcher problems
When I try to use the NView Taskswitcher instead of the WinXP native
task switcher, it doesn't work properly. This always happens: If an application has a subwindow or dialog box up, using the NView task switcher ignores it and places the focus on the main window. This makes it impossible to use the keyboard to deal with the subwindow or dialog, because the focus is not on it and there is no way to navigate to it without the mouse. The native task switcher places the focus on the dialog or subwindow, because that is the "front" of the program. This often happens: The NView task switcher indicates that it's switching the system focus to an application, but doesn't. The focus remains on the prior selected program. I've only seen this happen if the programs are stacked on the display. WinXP Pro SP2, MSI/nVidia GeForce 7300 GS using the included nVidia drivers and utilities. Two monitors (one analog, one digital) set to horizontal span. I'm trying to use the NView task switcher because it stays fully within one display, whereas the native one is always centered - spanning the gap between the monitors. -- Jeffrey Kaplan www.gordol.org The from userid is killfiled Send personal mail to gordol Tips for the Innocent Bystander: 42.
