Invalid page fault occurs when un-installing FX 5200 driver

Hi,

I was going to un-install the driver of GeForce FX 5200 (PCI) on a Win98
SE computer.

I opened the Add/Remove applet in the Control Panel and double clicked
on "NVIDIA Display Driver". Immediately an error message
appeared:"NVUDISP caused an invalid page fault..."

Any fix?

Try uninstalling from Safe Mode.

Tried that, but no luck.

I also tried both disabling the pagefile and deleting (regenerating) the
pagefile.
The same IPF error still occurred.
