DirectX9.0C + NVidia ForceWare 61.77 + OpenGL = Can't Exit Game
I have installed WinXp SP2, which has DX9.0C, then i installed the
61.77 drivers, and any OpenGL game i have (Doom3, Call of Duty, HL...) will not exit without ctrl+alt+del. in CS, when i set it to Direct3D, it has no problems with exiting, but under OpenGL it just can't exit without three finger salute. other games without problems a GTA Vice City, UT2004, FarCry, Halo. My System is as follows: Biostar IDeq 200V (M7VBA latest BIOS) AMD AthlonXP 3000+ 333Mhz 1GB 333Mhz Ram eVGA Geforce 6800 160GB Maxtor 8mb cache HDD it did not do this before either SP2, or 61.77, not sure which. Any Help? anyone else have this problem? |

No problem with SP1 ( + all updates ), 61.77, DX9.0c ( P4, FX5900, SB Audigy 2 - latest drivers, Far Cry, Doom 3 ... ) Hopefully, you did a full image backup of your system partition before installing SP2 ? I expect some applications problems with SP2 and intend to be extremely cautious indeed with its installation. I advise others to be similarly wary. My copy of Drive Image 7.03 will see frequent use. the problem was the drivers, used the ones that came on the CD
(60.85), and those made all the difference. |
