I uninstalled the drivers and software supplied with this printer from
my XP machine.
Now when I try to reinstall it the process stalls just before it finishes.
I waited a couple of hours for it to complete but it never did.
Any help would be appreciated.

Make certain it's actually stalled and there isn't a window that opened
up behind another. I've had that happen many times on installs. Look on
the taskbar or do an ALT-TAB to see if there is another open window
somewhere.

If this is a USB printer, make sure you do not connect the USB cable until the
installation software asks you to. If you had the cable connected already,
unplug it, reboot the PC and reinstall.
