it appears as though it had problems refresh fix utility whose effects r
anulled after the installation of new drivers

Until you find a refresh rate utility that works, use the override function
in DXDiag to get the refresh rate you want in games. Obviously it only works
in D3D.

thanx for the tip, but i've already enabled coobits 2 and used its refresh
rate override opition

I use reforce.exe and have to set the 800x600 at 60hz.
Then the game just starts and launches into 1024x768@100hz.
