powering of the 9700, 9800 - is it all 12v plug in ?

Just wondering where these radeons get there power ?

Is most drawn from the 12 volt plug in or is the agp slot
primarily used and then any additional required used by the
plug in ? or ?

thanks

Well it takes some power from the AGP port 'cos if you don't plug in the
power connector, it scares the living crap out of you by making a very loud
beeping noise and then displays a message on screen that you have not
plugged it in.

I believe it is in fact the +5V line. And it's unregulated on the card, so
you need a quality psu. I wish my antec was adjustable :(
