Anyone know what sound and video cards came with this PC? I can't read the
faded stamps on either card.I can't find any e-3000 info at gateway's site
either.Thanks

I think there's more than one possible configuration for an
E-3000.

The specific manufacturer of the card probably doesn't matter,
write down the markings on the sound and video chip(s) and that
is probably enough (to find drivers I presume?).

If i were guessing, I"d guess the video was Permedia 2 chipset,
like a AccelSTAR II, and the sound was Ensoniq, now (maybe still)
supported by Creative Labs. Ensoniq chips might read something
like "ES1370", IIRC.

Come to think of it, they may've also used ATI Rage II+ cards.
Writing down the chip markings is the easiest way to ID these
cards, but some systems might've even had integrated video and/or
sound, usually on Intel OEM motherboards.
