The audio can be upgraded by unzipping the forceware and using Device Manger
to upgrade the drivers manually.

They have been released if you have a GF4/MX440 or higher card. (WHQL
driver)

Thanks for the info, the only reason I asked was because the Forceware
drivers were on the Nvidia site, but there was no sign of the ME drivers.

What part of the current drivers do you have problems with? The special SW
IDE drivers have never appeared in 9x/me builds, and most people want new
drivers to fix sound problems as they have no idea if the Memory, SMbus, etc
are working properly or not!
