Custom resolution on a GF3 Ti200?

hi,

i am trying to install the drivers for a Leadtek GeForce3 Ti200 on a
win98se pc (tft flat panel with dvi connector). first installation
with the original cd-rom went perfect. i had a 1024x768 resolution and
i could move the mouse to everywhere on the screen.

but ... neither the update with leadteks W9X_ALL_40730.exe nor the
nvidia driver 66.94 works properly.

first of all, after booting, the resolution is set wrong, i.e. on the
right is a black stripe with nothing (makes abount one fifth of the
screen) and the top (makes about one fourth of the actual desktop) is
cut and shown below. but could be corrected manually to 1024x768.

the weird thing is the following: the mouse could be moved only in the
upper half of the sreen, like on 1024x384. the mouse clicking works in
a way that you have to cklick relative from the upper border to what
would be correct. i.e. if zou click visibly in the middle of the
screen zou click on the task bar. or in other words: there, where the
mouse is actually visible there the mouse is not - the mouse is twice
as much further down.

any ideas?
