Ghosting on my monitor

Just wondering if my 19" ADI Microscan is biting the bullet. There are ghost lines running across the screen. Does this mean its dying or could a new, quality shielded cable help?

Thanks
Giz

Generally they go dim first, or lose the ability to guide the guns and
produce rainbow/moire effects.

Make certain that your cable is shielded properly first, and that you're
not running it by any high energy EMF sources (power cables, bad cables,
etc). Also make sure the portion where it connects to the monitor is
not kinked or yanked around, it can be stressing the wires.

Try a different video card (and don't use a passthrough).

Lastly, see about getting your monitor professionally degaussed. And by
professionally I mean the bub down at the VCR repair shack with a
degaussing wand.
