aiw 9800 tv sound turns itself off
A reboot usually brings it back. has anyone else seen this happen and found a
fix ? 1st time I thought it might be a loose connector in back and in combo with the reboot it fixed it. but since finding out that reboot will fix it without the jiggling, the question is what's causing it to just turn itself off ? and how to fix it ? Is there another AIW forum or another way to get answers on this ? My experience with sending feedback hasn't been very good. I sent a comment in on the board, and got an email on troubleshooting a problem I didn't ask about. So it's pretty obvious the email goes to a dumb machine and has someone's name signed to it. more pix @ http://members.toast.net/cbminfo/index.html |

I gave what I knew and asked if anyone else has had it happen. I have no idea what settings were on or off. I'm still 1 day old getting used to it. I've seen the TV disappear, and the sound also, but no idea what caused them. Just sitting there fiddling with the computer, looked up and there wasn't any sound. or looked up and there was no TV or sound. hit TV and it came back but no sound. up and down with sound bar, and nada. Hasn't happened for several hours, but I'd like to know what's causing it so I don't need to keep rebooting every time something goes bad. Yes, there are other forums; the most notable is the Rage3d forum, at http://www.rage3d.com/board/. patrickp - take five to email me |

no surprise, this is my 2nd AIW, and the previous install needed online 1-800 step by step walk thru for win 98 on a p1 mmx. Had to modify the bios for that setup. They should have also mentioned that it won't run with the remote plugged in until after the software for the remote is installed. Sheesh, had to remove all and boot 1 by 1 to find what caused the failure.
