ati dual display configuration limitation : Windows or driver problem?
I have an ati Radeon 7000 video card. It allows for having two
displays and expands your desktop to two screens (one giant 2560x1024 resolution screen. BUT : windows popup right in the middle between two screens, everything is streched (toolbars etc.) and split between the screens. Its so annoying that I have actually stopped using the second screen. It would have been more useful to limit windows popping in the single screen (where the cursor is) much in the way the Macintosh had implemented the multi screen scheme (Macintosh is not an option for me). Is there a tool out there to do this, where the second screen is independent and windows don't pop split between the two screens. Of course you should be able enter the second screen via cursor movements. Thanks so much in advance, Ben |

Right click on the ATI logo in the task bar, and select Hydravision-HYDRAVISION Properties. Click on the help button, and then select "Window Control". I enable "single monitor windows". I also use the dialog controls. |
