K & H Hooper
Has anyone set up one of these boards with a SATA drive as the boot drive? I
haven't been successful and the bios settings are confusing. Any suggestions
would be appreciated.
TIA,
Ken H.

So confused by
Pavel
I just installed the version FF bios on my GA-8KNXP Ultra and discovered
that it detects my IDE ZIP drive as ATAPI removable Hard drive, which is
fine. But after I run WindowsXP and reboot, it sees the same disk as floppy
removable drive. I guess that would be ok too but if I boot to DOS from...

Voltage reading way too high 8KNXP by
Stephen Williams
The BIOS reports the 5V rail as "FAIL", it won't give a specific reading.
MBM5 reports 8.13 volts on the 5v line!
I've tried a different PSU, with nothing unnecessary plugged in to the PSU
or motherboard, flashed to latest F9 BIOS and removed the DPS2 voltage
regulator thingy... all to no avail...

adding gigaraid array with existing ich5r by
BDH
I'm considering adding a stripe 1 array to the gigaraid controller on my
board which already has a sata raid 0 array on the ich5r controller.
I suspect it will go fine. Any suggestions or "tips" would be helpful.

Brightspark
Does anyone know where the system temperature sensor is located on the
7VAXP.
Using both Easytune and MBM my system temps are between 3 to 6 degrees above
the CPU temps and from what I've heard this shouldn't be the case.
So I wonder if it's just a that the temp sensor is too close to...

How do I Force PAT..?? by
Muttley
AFAIK, PAT is automatically disabled by the BIOS/chipset when the FSB gets
too high to maintain stability.
