Timeline by
[email protected]
This post describes the life timeline of each person on Earth. People are
divided into two camps: saved, unsaved. This relates whether or not a
person receives forgiveness from Jesus Christ for their sin ... or not.
When a person is born:
You are ALREADY dead in sin. You ONLY know what...

Is there a replacement or upgrade for Samsung SM863a? by
Mark F[_2_]
Is there a newer model than Samsung SM863a for enterprise, write
intensive storage? (I know about RM863 and RM863a, but these
are the same vintage as SM863 and SM863a respectively.)

Who/what is abusing my fileserver by
[email protected]
Usually our TrueNAS fileservers (Really just FreeBSD with a GUI) perform well with
iostat -x
showing hundreds of megabytes/second read or written with the %b (%busy or %Utilization) at only several percent for each disk. But every few months performance goes to hell, with total throughput only 1...

USB 3.0 for a 2.5" drive? by
Charles T. Smith
Hi, a quick question for the experts.
I've gathered the impression that the interface technology (usb, sata,
pata) for disk drives is really irrelevant - for a single drive - because
disks can't deliver data fast enough to run into an interface bottleneck.

EMC Centerra mode by
Andrew Rycroft
Hi,
Please can you assist me? I have been allocated an EMC Centerra that I now have to manage as part of my FIlenet archiving solution. I have been asked is it in NAS mode, or API mode. How can I determine this?
I know not much about the EMC Centerra.
Thanks
Andrew

Does TRIM support hurt data recovery? by
Mark F[_2_]
Does TRIM support hurt data recovery?
For example, if I delete a file in Windows will the SSD drive's
TRIM support erase the data?
If I delete a partition, will the SSD drive erase all of the
data that was in the partition?
Does it depend on the SSD drive, or are things defined so as
to mean the...

I'm familiar with I2C and can capture I2C transactions on a logic
