Inspiron 6000, x300, and clone mode by
Loki74
I have a new Inspiron 6000 with the ATI x300 video card. I am trying
to put it into "clone mode" to copy the desktop onto the s-video port.
I can't find a switch, or a checkbox, or anything to do this. Does
anyone know how to put this into "clone mode."
Thanks
Loki

My roommate brought home a PowerPoint DVD from work.
I put it in the DVD Player for him and kept getting a NAV Malicious Script
error. Something to do with producer files.
He ended up playing it from the .htm file on the DVD
I now get a "no disk in drive H:\ " error each time I try to shut down...

I'm getting a new Dell Dimension 9100 Desktop system. I'm using it with

Problem with 4550 fans by
Emmy™Award Winner Michael Chiclets
Friend has a 4550 and the fans blow pretty much full blast. We've
opened the case and blown it out. Not much not dust inside and didn't
seem to make much of a difference. The air blowing out of the back
isn't hot or anything, feels cool in fact.
Any ideas?

P4 with IMB v. 2MB Cache by
Ted Zieglar
Leythos is correct. While you achieve theoretically faster throughput, you
are unlikely to notice the difference. And in any case, that cache is only
one of many variables that affects the overall speed of your computer.
On the other hand, who knows what demands software of the future will...

quietest desktop Dell by
Gabriel
I've been looking at the new Dimension, in particular the 5100c and 9100
Pentium D machines. (The 5100c is only offered with Pentium D at the small
business section.) I understand these machines use the new BTX cases. Has
anybody had any real-world experience with one of these? Are the noise
levels...

happened to the original one).
