Anyone out there have a defective laptop optical drive out there? My wife pulled the hub off our drive and didn't notice. She then went on vacation, so the piece could be anywhere between Calgary and Vancouver. I'm hoping someone has a bad Toshiba SD-R2102 drive that would be willing to ship it...

WXGA AGP Graphics Card by Keith Willcocks
I am in the UK and have been given a wide screen monitor (1440x900 resolution which I understand is WXGA or possibly WXGA+). My current graphics card, a Gforce MX 440 1289mb does not support this resolution. My mobo takes an AGP 8x card and I need to find a cheapish one that will support...

x-fi soundblaster and blue screens by Frank
Hi. I'm using an x-fi soundblaster and in one particular game the computer keeps crashing to blue stop screen at random intervals. It always blames ha20x2k.sys which is a sound driver file and this only happens when the card is in 'game mode' with eax effects enabled. I've tried using the older...

X1600 - no 1600x900 by Skeleton Man
Hi guys, I just bought a new 22" monitor and for a while was running it on my old system with onboard intel graphics. Native resolution is 1680 x 1050, but this makes everything too small and blurry. On the old machine I was able to run 1600x900 which was comfortable - on my normal machine with a...

X2 (more) by philo
Had a brainstorm. Ok...the new X2 machine is working great...but I mentioned that I cannot install my Epson printer on the 64bit version of XP. Someone mentioned that I probably would not be able to network to another machine and print from there... however I should be able to print from a...

Xbox 360 has 1 teraflop? by Random Person
Considering that a Pentium 4 3.7GHz has only 14.8 gigaflops, and still costs more than an Xbox 360 (=A3209), how is this possible? In fact an ATI Radeon X800XT only musters 60 gigaflops. http://www.xbox.com/en-US/xbox360/factsheet.htm Overall System Floating-Point Performance =09 * 1 teraflop
