Router Question by
RenMan
When settting up 2 or more PC's on a router, do they all have to run the
same O/S.
For instance 1 has XP, do they all need XP ?
or is it okay to run another with 98 SE ?
Thanks in advance
Renman

TV Tuner Card by
SBreez
Looking to get a TV Tuner card for my computer and have a couple questions.
How well would a tuner card work with satellite TV? Since the signal has
passed through the sat box it is pretty much already "tuned" so I'm a bit
confused on this. Also , would the recording feature work with...

Caleb Hanger
Hello,
I just got a Samsung CD-RW that advertises the ability to read & write
at 52x, and to rewrite at 24x. However, I've tried several cd-burning
programs, including Nero, which came with the drive, and they all report
that the drive can't exceed 32x, thus preventing me from using the drive

Performance question Win98se vs win2000 vs XP pro by
[email protected]
We are upgrading the workstation that acts as a server to 3.0 GHz processor
and have the option to run win2000 or XP. Thoughts either way?
Also, we have 3 machines that are 650mz - but run win98se and crash
regularly. Would WIN2000 or XP load and run on those machines slower than
win98? (they all...

Soundcard benchmark? by
Phrederik
Can someone suggest a decent way of bencmarking a soundcard?
I'm trying to decide whether or not it's worth the hassle to reinstall my
SBLive card or just use the 6 channel onboard sound from my new MSI
mainboard.
Thanks!

PCMCIA card slot on a desktop ?? by
L337JasE
My frien has got a Gigabyte barebones system that has a hidden panel on it
with Firewire, USB2 and a PCMCIA slot.
Is there anything that I can get for my desktop that's similar? I'm just
missing the PC card slot - something that fits a 3.5" drive bay would be
perfect.
Cheers

How many pins in my RAM? by
Bernard Jelley
Hello,
I want to upgrade the RAM in my Compaq Prosignia 320 (BI440ZX motherboard).
I know it takes DIMM SDRAM modules (PC66/PC100), but I have seen 100 and 168
pin modules advertised.
Does anyone know how many pins are used for MY memory modules?
Thanks.
