zebracomputers - spammers by

Following on from the 'has 7 software sold my email' thread...
- I contacted zebracomputers to ask how I came to be on their spamming
list
- They replied with: 'We purchase our data from a number of source's
around the UK'
- I replied with: 'Could you please tell me from whom you purchased

Who pays postage for returns? by
Jon D
I bought a USB device for about £100 from a small company.
They sent it by next day delivery
After 12 days I found one important function wasn't working properly.
I told them and they are looking into it.
It looks as if the USB device probably has to go back to them.
If so then who pays the...

Scan's selection boxes on web site - nice or not? by
Jax
Maybe I am late to see Scan's web site (I have never bought anything
from them) but I see they've implemented the sort of selector box
arrangement which Dabs had some time ago.
However Scan seem to have done a different job of it.
I kind of think I like the clarity and the "refresh solidity" of...

ARIA TECHNOLOGY - DO NOT BUY FROM THEM - ABSOLUTELY RUBBISH by
Roger Getterridge
Yes, I too have had some bad experiences with that company, 2 hard-drives which
were both duff on delivery. I suspect they were returns too as they both had
scratches on the sides. It took weeks to get my money credited.
My current 19" monitor is one of theirs and it too came with 3 bad pixels...

Opinions on old vendor by
?uzzled
Have people's opinions on Eclipse Computers changed at all ? I'm looking to
buy this
http://www.eclipsecomputers.com/product.aspx?code=HFV-VA4C7040&af=50 and
they seem to be the only one stocking them.
They had a pretty bad rep a few years back. Googling them haven't produced
any results since....

Who pays for defective returns? by
Jon D
If I buy a widget (in my case made by Olympus) from an internet shop and
it arrives in a damaged state, then I get the shop to replace it or get
a refund.
Assuming all that goes smoothly then who ultimately bears the cost for
putting matters right?
Does the retailer bear the costs (postage, staff...

Monitor switch box by
FishMurderer
Evening,
Could anyone recommend a decent monitor switch for for using with a PC
monitor and an Epson projector? The monitor is right next to the PC, but
the projector cable would need to be a good 3m as I want it stored
neatly.
Any input as to products/vendors much appreciated - something that...

Dell monitor - buy from Dell or Overclockers UK? by
David Hearn
I'm looking at getting a Dell monitor, and comparing the price between
Dell direct and Overclockers UK, I can see there's about a £5 premium
for going with Dell (including Delivery etc). OCUK claim 4 years
warranty, whilst Dell claim 3 - I phoned OCUK and they said it might be
that Dell reduced...

Looking for a replacement for Psion by
Zalthu
My Psion 5 series has finally come to the end of its useful life and I am
looking for a replacement, since Psion don't make them anymore. I only want
something simple to do wordprocessing and data entry whilst travelling, for
later downloading to my PC.
I can't find anything with a keyboard as...

Has anyone else started getting spam from redstore? I used them a
couple of years ago, and have just started receiving mail with hundreds
of kb of pictures. There's no 'unsubscribe' link, so I've requested via
their web site that they stop, but still it comes.

Seek PCI card with USB sockets by
Jon D
My mobo has an internal socket for me to attach an additional 2 USB
ports but there's no room for the ports at the front of my PC.
So I could put these extra two USB ports at the back of the machine. To
do that I need an empty PCI card whose only function is to hold two USB
sockets.
Where can I...
