k8NF9 and SATA and SpeedFan bug by
netx
I found some bug in Nvidia "IDE" drivers for K8NF-9.
Any temperature monitoring program hangs the computer, after I installed new
HDD (Seagate SATA 250GB). Previously I had single ATA HDD and monitoring
programs run normally. At the moment they do not.
For example: SpeedFund 4.2.2 hangs after...

8KNXP Passes Gas by
Methus
Everytime I shutdown, and it's apparently after all of the running programs
have been stopped because the screen is dark and it's a split second before
the power goes off, I hear a loud noise through the speakers. It does indeed
sound a bit like too many beans. I can not find the source, and...

GA-7DXR won't power up by
CSL
Hi:
A friend of mine is trying to put a 2400+ in my GA-7DXR. It previously had
a 1.333 thunderbird in it. The system won't power up now. We've tried
different power supplies, another cpu (900 mhz 200 FSB), clearing the CMOS,
taking out the battery, and replacing the power switch. Before I took...

GA-7NNXP no VRM Card by
Zogg
Hi,
I've just bought one of these boards as 'refurbished' at a very good
price but it's missing everything except the board itself. I've got
cables etc. and can download manuals, drivers etc from the Gigabyte
website. The main thing that concerns me is the missing VRM card. Will
this board work...

Which P4??? by
Alan Howard
Contemplating getting a 8KNXP with a P4 2.8 (maybe 3.0) but can't
decide if I want to get the Prescott. I don't expect to overclock and
will probably get stock pc3200 memory (Crucial or Kingston). I'm
somewhat worried about heat problems with the Prescott with the
supplied standard cooling. Should...

7n400 pro boot slowdown by
NuTCrAcKeR
Has anyone noticed that the native XP system drives get you into the OS very
quickly, but when you put the native nVidia drivers on, it slows the boot
time by a factor of 2 to 3 times?
Does anyone know why this happens? I have rebuild my system several times
(not to correct this problem), and I...

I have a USB Memory stick (256MB) that when I plug into my 8PE800Pro works
fine (Windows 2000 SP3) - however when I go to the eject/unplug hardware
icon in system tray and stop it, the computer reboots. Works fine on
another Win2k computer Any ideas?

GA-K8NNXP-940 and FX53 temps by

showing 70C in the BIOS and was running 80C under 100% CPU, I have read of
others having the same problem. Case temp seems OK and the CPU heatsink is
not quite too hot to touch . . . I think the motherboard is mis-reading...
