GA-965P-DS3 reboots when accessing CD Drive by
9Speed
Update: I brought an old computer over, set it down next to the new
computer, and connected the power lead from the old computer's power
supply to the cd-drive in the new computer. The IDE cable is still
connected from the cd-rom to the GA-965P-DS3... the only difference
is now the cd-rom draws...

Hi all
Anyone got any ideas for me
I have a GA-7VA M/B running win XP pro
I have installed via 4 in 1 and am unable to get my hard drives into UDMA
mode
the VIA dma tool keeps reporting dma mode 2 only.

I have just built a system using a gigabyte 7vm400am-rz motherboard,sempron
2600+ and a western digital 160 GB SATA HDD.
However i am unable to get the LED on the case to light up, I have tried
both polarities on the LED and also tested the HDD LED by putting it in

WD Raptors. Don't know if it is better to use drives in raid mode or base
mode. I installed the OS using the SI3512 drivers not the SI3512R drivers.
