SATA Mode: RAID or IDE? by Kendall
Hello, When installing a new Mobo, I've hooked up the DVD/RW to primary master. No other IDE devices. I do have a floppy installed. I plan on just installing WindowsXP on the SATA drive. Nothing else special planned with it. On the SATA Controller, is it better to select IDE or RAID ?

Memory Timing on GA-8ik1100 by [email protected]
With an Award bios, where do I go to change the memory timing? Iadded another gig via two 512meg DIMMs and I have errors. Using memtest86 1.65 when I have just the ONE stick in, it is OK - no errors. With two of the original sticks in plus the one upgrade - errors. So I'm guessing the timings...

Anyone know if a PCI USB 2.0 card is made that will allow booting from USB 2.0 with the GA-7Zx Rev: 1.01 board. Bios upgrade allows big drives, but no mention of usb 2.0 support. Is it possible to achieve with this board?
